Pedestrian killed overnight on I-26 Identified

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who was struck and killed while walking in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 26 near the 113 exit in Lexington County at approximately 12:30 A.M. on April 13, 2017.

Coroner Margaret Fisher states that Darlene R. Tager, 67, of Gaston died at the scene from multiple body trauma after she was struck by multiple vehicles as she walked in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 26 near exit 113.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
