Student-led parade celebrates LES diversity
LEXINGTON, S.C. — Lexington Elementary celebrated its diverse student body during a special parade on Friday, April 21.
The international parade featured more than 50 students and staff, representing 18 different countries, marching through the halls waving flags and wearing traditional attire from their native country. Countries represented included Armenia, Holland, India, Japan, Korea and Russia.
Leading up to the parade, several students and teachers shared information about their culture and country with the rest of the school on the school’s LES Live news show.
