2017-18 Lexington 3 Bus Transportation information is now available
Lexington, SC - The Lexington County School District 3 Transportation Department wishes to provide safe and orderly transportation for all students within Lexington 3. In order to make sure that all routes are established and all student information is collected and entered into the schools computer system, we will conduct school bus registration for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year beginning May 8th and we request that you return the forms to your student’s school by June 2nd. The Transportation Department will hold a final school bus registration during the week of July 10th through the 13th.
Again this year, the Transportation Department will not participate during the annual Fee Collection/Schedule Pick Up Day on Thursday, August 10th. Transportation forms will be sent home with all students during the week of May 1st through the 5th. If you do not receive a request form, please contact your student’s school, call the Transportation Office at 532-8007, or access the form on the District website at: www.lex3.org under Transportation.
A separate Transportation Form is required for each student who intends to ride a school bus to or from school. Each form must be filled out completely and a parent/guardian signature is required. All transportation requests are to be filled out and turned in by the end of school on June 2nd at the student’s school or in to the Transportation Office. This can be achieved either by giving the form to the school or coming by the Transportation Office located at the High School.
Once you have filled out the form and realize that there are necessary changes that need to be made, you can then either fill the form out on line, come by the Transportation Office during the week of July 10th through the 13th, or mail the form to Lexington Three Transportation, 338 W. Columbia Ave, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006. All request will be finalized by July 31st as this is the absolute deadline for request to start the 2017-2018 school year. Request received after the deadline, may result in the student not being eligible for bus transportation the first few days of school. Request for bus transportation made after July 31st will be put on hold until the first day of school, August 22nd .
Things to Remember:
Complete one form per student
Please only register for bus service when you are sure your student will be riding a bus
Forms should be turned in by June 2, 2017 to your child’s school or the Transportation Department
Forms and changes not turned in by June 2nd, will be accepted in the Transportation Office during the week of July 10th through 13th, 2017 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. until 5p.m.
Absolute deadline for forms to be submitted is July 31, 2017 (By mail)
