SLED News Release Lexington County Man Charged with Attempted Murder
Lexington, SC - Agents of the S.C. Law Enforcement Division today charged a Lexington County man in connection with striking and injuring a Lexington Medical Center Public Safety Officer with his vehicle in the hospital's parking lot on April 27, 2017 while attempting to get away.
Stephen Johnson Craft, II, 38 was charged with Attempted Murder, a felony which carries a penalty upon conviction of up to 30 years in prison.
SLED investigated the case at the request of the Lexington Medical Center Department of Public Safety.
Craft was booked in the Lexington County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 11th Circuit Solicitor's Office.
