Three Arrested in Lexington Murder Case

Lexington, SC (Kaitlyn Kirby) Agents of the S.C. Law Enforcement Division Wednesday arrested three Lexington County residents in connection with the May 15thshooting death of 26-year old Austin Chandler of Lexington. Chandler was shot and killed in a garage on property located at 171 Glasco Drive near Lexington High School earlier this week.

Brandon Lee Pham, 32, was arrested and charged with murder, a felony which carries a penalty upon conviction of death or a minimum of 30 years to life in prison. Pham was also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime, which carries a penalty of an additional five years, in addition to the penalty for the principal crime.

Warrants allege that Phan and Chandler got into an altercation that then escalated to the point that Phan shot Chandler several times. He then allegedly concealed the weapon in his pants and fled the scene in a white Jeep.

Pamela Shae Norris, 34 and Ashley Dawn Spencer, 33, were each charged with accessory after the fact of Chandler’s murder. These charges carry a penalty upon conviction of up to 15 years in prison. Norris and Spencer were also charged with hindering the officers who were trying to serve Phan with the murder warrants.

Warrants allege that Norris was with Phan on Glasco Lane when Chandler was shot. She then tried to help Phan hide in order to avoid arrest.

Ashley Dawn Spencer is accused of hiding Phan in the Pelion area after the incident. She picked him up on Bushberry Road near Pelion and took him to a home on Sandra Drive in Pelion where she attempted to hide him from law enforcement. She eventually admitted to officers that she did try to conceal Phan and helped him elude capture.

They all have been booked into the Lexington County Detention Center where they are awaiting bond hearings.
