Meadow Glenn Middle School Student Pens Winning Essay

LEXINGTON, S.C. — Insightful words from a Lexington County School District One eighth-grader earned him a first-place prize from a local civic organization.

Meadow Glen Middle School Student Joshua P. Lazenby won the National Heritage Essay Contest sponsored by the Lexington Sertoma Club.

The Lexington Sertoma Club invited Lexington County students to submit essays for the annual contest, and Lazenby chose to write about his views regarding patriotism.
