Red Bank, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Publix in Red Bank that we reported on earlier this week seems to be full speed ahead! Lexington County has already had several meetings with the developer and some of the necessary permits have been pulled.
According to Harrison Cayhill, public information officer for the county, a Development Review Meeting (DRM) was held on April 3, 2017. A Zoning Permit was issued on June 15, 2017, the Landscape Permit was issued on June 8, 2017, and the Land Disturbance Permit was issued on June 2, 2017. The applicant for all of these permits was Publix Super Markets. The developer they’ve retained is actually Windcrest Development Group, Inc., of Orlando, Florida.
According to the county’s records, the actual building size will be 55,831 square feet. They did not provide any timeline for construction.
As we advised in an earlier article, this project will be developed near the intersection of Platt Springs Road and Southlake Drive. It will connect to Southlake where Mark Rouse’s State Farm office is located and will occupy parcels behind the Walgreens with a great deal of road frontage on Platt Springs Road as well,.
