Lexington 3 students present “Little Free Library” to Town of Batesburg-Leesville

Batesburg-Leesville, SC - Students attending the Lexington School District Three summer reading camp presented a "Little Free Library" to the Town of Batesburg-Leesville as part of their theme Make the World a Better Place. Teddy Luckadoo and Seth Duncan accepted the donation and hosted the students on a daylong tour of Town operations including the fire department, police department, water treatment plant, and town hall.

The little free library was a joint project with the BL High Mechatronics students who built the structure. The summer reading camp students decorated with assistance from Amber Bouknight, Lexington School District Three Teacher of the Year. The little free library will be kept at Town Hall and is available to all children in the community. Come by Town Hall and get a free book. The community is also invited to leave gently used children's books in the library for others to enjoy.
