Lexington PD officers and sheriff’s deputies will become waiters during annual fund-raising event

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) Officers from the Lexington Police Department and deputies from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department will become wait-staff for a great cause through Friday of this week. They once again will participate in an annual effort to support the Special Olympics South Carolina torch run by participating in Calabash and Cops, a joint fundraiser with Fatz Café in Lexington.

The LPD Officers and Lexington County Sheriff's Department Deputies will be at the Fatz Café in Lexington waiting the tables for lunch and supper service on Wednesday and Thursday and for lunch service only on Friday. Their tips will go to the SC Special Olympics program.

This is an annual event for the departments and Fatz. Each year, a great deal of money is raised to support the programs that help these special athletes compete and travel to events.

Fatz Café is located at 942 E. Main Street in Lexington, SC. Stop by and do what you can to help them out.
