Sheriff's Department conducting manhunt near Landfill Lane and Edmund Hwy.

Edmund, SC (Paul Kirby) The Lexington County Sheriff's office is conducting a manhunt near the intersection of Edmund Highway and Landfill Lane in the Edmund area.

According to Captain Adam Myrick, spokesman for the department, deputies have set a perimeter and are actively search searching for a female related to a shots fired call near Edmund. K-9s are on the ground in the area of Old Orangeburg and Highway 302 searching for a suspect.

Myrick described the suspect that is on the loose as bald, wearing gray shirt and denim shorts. This suspect is possibly armed. One other woman is already in custody.

If you see this women, Myrick said that you should immediate;y call 911. You should also stay clear of the area during this situation.
