B-L Panter Band Prepares for Upcoming Marching Season
Batesburg-Leesville, SC - Members of the Batesburg-Leesville Panther Band have been working hard at camp the past few weeks to perfect the songs and competitive field show that they will perform at football games this Fall.
The name of their halftime show this year is “Uprising” and it’s centered around the story of a group of people who are fighting against a tyrannical regime. Music from the band Muse will be featured, including songs such as “Knights of Cydonia” and “Apocalypse Please.”
The Panther Band is composed of middle and high school students in grades 7 through 12. This summer’s band camp will wrap up on Friday, August 4th with a concert at 6 pm. Members of the general public are invited to attend the performance, which will be held at BLHS on the band’s practice field.
