Lexington County man charged with attempted murder after stabbing incident

LEXINGTON, S.C. – Lexington County deputies arrested a Swansea man early Sunday morning after a man was stabbed at a Gator Road home.

Jacob Earl Harley, 37, is charged with attempted murder and possessing a weapon during a violent crime, according to arrest warrants.

“Based on what investigators determined at the scene, Harley drove to the victim’s house to fight him,” Lexington County Jay Koon said. “Harley pepper sprayed the man before stabbing him.”

The man is expected to recover from his injuries, according to detectives.

Harley is being held in the Lexington County Detention Center after a judge denied him bond this morning.
