Southern Dragon HapKiDo moves due to new Publix in Red Bank

Red Bank, SC (Angelica Iglesias) - Southern Dragon HapKiDo is moving due to the new Publix opening in Red Bank. They are currently located in a strip mall at 1925 South Lake Drive with businesses like Mark Rouse’s State Farm office and a hair salon. Publix has bought the land these businesses sit on, forcing them to find new locations. Southern Dragon will be moving to 1860 Old Barnwell Road on the corner of Frank Street. Owner Master Perry believes the move will be good for his business. In an interview, he seemed excited about the new space because it will be larger and suitable for more classes on mixed martial arts technique. At Southern Dragon, kids aging from six to twelve can learn TaeKwonDo and have opportunities to compete in local, state, and even national level competitions if they register for them themselves. Kids and adults 12 and up can learn HapKiDo, a form of self-defense that Master Perry says is a “fun and easy way to stay in shape while also learning to protect yourself.” An exact date for the move has not yet been set.
