Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – One person is dead after a vehicle rolled over and ejected that individual on I-20 east between the 51 and 52-mile marker early Thursday morning. This is between Longs Pond Road and South Lake Drive. The call came in to the Lexington County 911 center around 3:40 a.m.

Because the person was ejected from the vehicle, it took several moments for others on the scene to locate that person who had been thrown from the car. EMS crews on the scene pronounced the person dead when they arrived.

Besides the responders from Lexington County EMS, the fire service responded from two stations, Round Hill and Red Bank, as did law enforcement officers and the SC Highway Patrol. The Lexington County Coroner’s Office also had personnel enroute to the scene.
