Be Prepared for the Solar Eclipse

Lexington, SC - The South Carolina Emergency Management Division would like everyone to be prepared for the upcoming solar eclipse.

On August 21, our nation will experience its first total solar eclipse in a generation. Emergency managers are planning for an estimated influx of more than one million visitors into South Carolina for several days on either side of the eclipse. Expect nearly everything to be above capacity for nearly a week total. Residents, businesses and visitors should all be prepared for this historic event by keeping safety in mind. Have a plan for what you will do and where you will be for the #SolarEclipse2017:www.scemd.org/TotalEclipse
