Reported stabbing in Land of the Lakes resulted from altercation between roommates
Red Bank, SC (Paul Kirby) – An altercation between roommates in the Land of the Lakes subdivision in Red Bank left one of the parties with a minor injury that didn’t require transport to a medical center for care. The call, dispatched as an attempted stabbing, happened on Thursdayevening just after 6:00 p.m. on West Lake Drive in the older neighborhood in Red Bank.
According to Captain Adam Myrick with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the location, and based on the subsequent investigation, determined two roommates were involved in an altercation. One of the individuals received a minor injury during the incident. He did not specify how that injury occurred. No one was transported from the scene for medical treatment. Myrick did not say if anyone would be charged in the incident, and if they were going to be, what those charges would be.
The normally quiet neighborhood was shocked to see sheriff’s deputies, firefighters, and EMS personnel respond to an incident in their area. People commented on social media that in the past, the residents of the area rarely had a problem, and rarely saw emergency responders in the neighborhood in response to an emergency or an act of violence.
