District Five schools closed Monday, Sept. 11th

IRMO - All schools and offices in Lexington-Richland School District Five will be closed on Monday, Sept. 11. Likewise, the district's Sept. 11 School Board meeting has been cancelled along with all other school-related activities. This decision is being made in an abundance of caution for the safety of our students, parents and staff as South Carolina prepares for the impacts of Hurricane Irma. Several of the district’s schools could be activated as American Red Cross shelters, if needed. School district leaders will continue to monitor weather conditions closely and will make decisions concerning future cancellations and delays as information is available. Any announcements will be made using the school district’s automated telephone system, the district website, social media and local media outlets.
