Lexington County School District Two cancell school for Monday

West Columbia, S.C. - Lexington School District Two will be closed on Monday, September 11, 2017, for all employees and students due to the potential for unsafe conditions caused by Hurricane Irma. As of the latest National Weather Service forecast on Friday, high winds are forecasted for our area throughout the day on Monday. Sustained high winds can produce unsafe travel conditions, especially for school buses.

All afternoon and evening activities are cancelled for Monday including athletic events, adult education classes, and school/district wide events.

Lexington School District Two plans to reopen on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 on a regular schedule.

District Officials will continue to monitor conditions and consult with local, county and state emergency management officials in order to make sure the return to school on Tuesday is safe. We will notify our families and employees as soon as possible if there are any changes to theTuesday schedule.
