Lexington One cancels school Monday due to Hurricane Irma and the activities surrounding this weathe

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Lexington County School District One is canceling school Monday, September 11, for all students and staff in all Lexington One attendance areas. The district is also canceling all meetings and events scheduled to take place at any Lexington District One school, performing arts center, field or other facility, as well as all district programs, athletic practices or events, adult education classes, other school or district-related meetings, events, or extra-curricular activities scheduled for day or evening.

According to Chief Communications Officer Mary Beth Hill, the district continues to watch the potential impact of Hurricane Irma. The district will send out any additional information they receive to parents, staff and students through SchoolMessenger Communicate, the district’s telephone calling system.
