Lexington PD identifies & arrest dry cleaning burglary suspect

Lexington, SC (September 8, 2017) – Chief Terrence Green would like to notify the public that the white male subject connected to the burglary of the Lexington Dry Cleaning on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, has been identified and arrested.

Joshua Matthew Shelley of Lexington, age 24, was identified from surveillance photographs that were shared through social media and to the local news media from a news release earlier this week.

Joshua Shelley was arrested by deputies of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, September 7, 2017.

This arrest stems from an early morning burglary on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Lexington Dry Cleaning where Joshua Shelley entered by breaking out the front window of the business. During the burglary an undisclosed amount of currency was stolen.

Joshua Shelley has been charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and Possession of Burglary Tools.He is currently being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.
