Victim of reported stabbing in Batesburg-Leesville flown to medical facility by Lifenet helicopter

Batesburg-Leesville, SC (Paul Kirby) The victim of a reported stabbing that occurred Sunday morning on Ramblewood Drive in Batesburg-Leesville was flown by Lifenet helicopter to a local trauma center. The call was dispatched to law enforcement officers, EMS, and the fire department sometime between 8 and 9:00 a.m. Ramblewood Drive is at the Ramblewood apartment complex off Brookwood Drive in the town.

Once the scene was secured by police officers, the EMS crew arrived on location and decided that the patient’s condition warranted the helicopter flight. The Batesburg-Leesville FD requested an engine to the landing zone behind the police department where they stood fireguard while the helicopter landed.

We have requested more information from the B&L PD regarding the details surrounding the stabbing. We will update this story after we receive those details.
