Lexington Three receives school supply donations
Batesburg-Leesville, SC - Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church graciously donated a variety of school supplies to Lexington School District Three in early August.
The donations ranged from book bags and notebooks to rulers and graph paper. There were so many items given to Lexington Three that they wouldn't all fit in Superintendent Dr. Randall Gary's vehicle! So, the senior pastor from the church, Rev. Jeff Kersey, generously agreed to load up the rest of the donations in his car and transport them to the district.
In addition, state Senator Katrina Shealy, in conjunction with her non-profit organization "Katrina's Kids" and The National Foundation for Women Legislators, donated 147 book sacks to Lexington School District Three on Tuesday, August 29th. The book sacks were filled with various school supplies and will be distributed to children in the Afterschool Programs at B-L Primary and B-L Elementary Schools.
Several other organizations including Cedar Creek Baptist Church, RMS (Reliable Management Solutions), and House of Raeford have also made school supply donations this year. Lexington Three is extremely grateful for all of the kind acts of support that have been shown during our "Back to School" transition!
