Lexington PD looking for suspect in strong armed robbery
Lexington, S.C. (September 25, 2017) – Chief Terrence Green said today that the Lexington Police Department is searching for a subject wanted for a strong arm robbery incident that occurred at Kohls over the weekend.
During the afternoon of Saturday, September 23, 2017, a loss prevention associate for Kohls observed Veronica Latrice Bailey, age 32 of Winnsboro, South Carolina, select numerous items of children’s clothing and walk into a fitting room. The loss prevention associate could hear Veronica Bailey removing tags from the clothing and when exiting the fitting room noticed that her purse was visibly larger than before. The loss prevention associate was familiar with Veronica Bailey as she had been involved in numerous past shoplifting incidents at Kohls.
As Veronica Bailey was walking out of the store, the loss prevention associate asked her to return the merchandise. Veronica Bailey turned around while standing in the parking lot and pepper sprayed the loss prevention associate in her face. As the loss prevention associate was attempting to get the license plate number of the vehicle that Veronica Bailey was getting into to leave, she turned around and pepper sprayed the loss prevention associate again in the face.
The Lexington Police Department has an arrest warrant for Veronica Latrice Bailey for Strong Arm Robbery.
