Lexington, SC - Chief Terrence Green would like to invite the Town of Lexington community to the annual Lexington Police Department “Adopt-A-Cop” Fall Festival on Tuesday, October 17th, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This event will be held at the Town of Lexington Municipal Complex which is located at 111 Maiden Lane in Lexington.
The “Adopt-A-Cop” Fall Festival continues to grow each year and has been an excellent way for the Lexington Police Department to connect with many of our community organizations and business partners to create a safe event that is enjoyable for the whole family. This event is also a fundraiser for the Lexington Police Department’s “Adopt-A-Cop” foundation which is an innovative approach to community resource development.
The cost of the event is $5 per person or $20 per family. Admission provides visitors with food from various vendors, Air Fun rides, games, pie throwing contest, mascots, costume contest with prizes and much more.
Each year the Lexington Police Department chooses a local organization as a focus for this event and a donation is made from the proceeds of the festival. This year’s partner will be Heroes In Blue and this collaboration will assist in continuing their mission of promoting positive police and community relationships through empathy and action along with providing support to the families and colleagues of fallen officers.
The entrances to the Fall Festival event can be accessed from Maiden Lane near South Lake Drive and on South Lake Drive across from the Lexington County Courthouse and Administration building exit.
Parking is available in the public lots near the Town of Lexington Municipal Complex. Please avoid parking in private business lots near the event as vehicles can be towed at the owner’s expense.
