Head-on collision shuts down Calks Ferry Road near I-20

Round Hill, SC (Paul Kirby) – A serious car crash that has been reported as head-on, caused officials to close Calks Ferry Road between Sherwood and Two Notch Thursday morning. The original call was dispatched just after 7:00 a.m. near the intersection of Calks Ferry and BeLo Roads.

Firefighters and EMS personnel quickly arrived on the scene and began to treat the injured people. Civilians who lived in the area and witnessed the carnage said it appeared as if the cars collided head-on and that several people were seriously injured.

There are no official reports on any of the patient’s conditions at this time. There also have not been any reports from law enforcement as to the cause of the collision.
