Sutton elected to Lexington School District Four’s Board of Trustees in special election Tuesday
Gaston / Swansea, SC (Paul Kirby) Quincy Cordell Sutton has been elected to serve on the Lexington School District Four’s Board of Trustees in a special election that was held Tuesday. He will fill the un-expired term of a member who resigned after moving out of the area.
Sutton faced five other candidates for the office. They included Jeff Hart, Cornelius Jeffcoat, John C. Knight, Allen Sharpe, and Tim Williams. A total of 389 votes were cast and Sutton took 134 of those, or 34.45 %. The next closest vote getter was Cornelius Jeffcoat who received 125 votes cast in his name. These results are pending certification by the county’s board of elections and voter registration.
Less than 5% of the registered voters that were eligible to cast their votes in the election actually did so.
