Lexington Medical Center to host free physician lecture November 13
West Columbia, SC - Lexington Medical Center will host a free physician lecture on pulmonary hypertension inside the Michael J. Biediger Auditorium at 2728 Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia on Monday, November 13 at 6:00 p.m.
Pulmonary hypertension is a disease characterized by elevated blood pressure specific to the arteries of the lungs that can affect lung and heart function. The speaker will be C. Gregory Cauthen, MD, FCCP. Dr. Cauthen is a pulmonologist who specializes in the management of pulmonary hypertension at Carolina Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, a Lexington Medical Center physician practice.
During the talk, Dr. Cauthern will define pulmonary hypertension, discuss how doctors recognize and diagnose the disease, review the exams patients need, and explain how it’s treated and managed.
The lecture is free to the public. Light refreshments will be served. The event is part of Lexington Medical Center’s lecture series featuring physicians speaking about medical topics that are important to our community.
