Man wanted for murder, shootings in Cayce
Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) – Officers from the Cayce Department of Public Safety are looking for Derrick Davon Sligh after a shooting incident that left at least one of the victims dead. The incident occurred at 1709 Stahl Street in Cayce in apartments located near the original Maurice’s BBQ. This occurred in the early morning hours of November 19, 2017.
Sligh’s fled the scene of the shooting and his vehicle has since been recovered at 1213 Walcott Drive in Richland County, SC. Assistant Chief James Crossland with the Cayce department said that the department believes that Slighs hould be considered armed and dangerous. Crossland has been known to be from the Bluff Road area of Richland County, SC.
Crossland said that their department is being assisted by investigators from the SLED. Personnel are also on the scene from the Lexington county Coroner’s Office.
