Lexington Three hosts Thanksgiving meal
Batesburg-Leesville, SC - On Thursday, November 16th, members of the Lexington School District Three Food Services team hosted a Thanksgiving meal for students, staff, and distinguished guests at B-L Primary, B-L Elementary and B-L Middle Schools.
The meal included turkey and all of the traditional fixings such as gravy, dressing, yams, green beans and cranberry sauce. Tables throughout the school cafeterias were decorated with a fall theme and students at B-L Primary School even got to enjoy a giant, blow-up turkey that was featured on the cafeteria stage.
“We love hosting our annual Thanksgiving meal for our staff and students, but this year we tried to make it extra special by adding in additional decorations and by inviting guests from the community to come and dine with us. We appreciate their service and their support of our great schools,” said Deidre Yonce, the Director of Child Nutrition for Lexington School District Three.
Representatives from the Town of Batesburg-Leesville, local firefighters, and several B-L business owners were just a few of the guests of honor in attendance.
