Locally owned photo studio will share building with CWC Chamber.
Cayce, SC (James Bowers) - The ribbon cutting ceremony for Pretty Pictures Photography possibly set a CWC Chamber of Commerce record for shortest travel distance from the chamber’s office to the new site. In the case of Pretty Pictures, the photo studio is located in the same space as the Chamber's headquarters on 12th Street!
Proprietor Vickie Lovett has operated the business for nearly 30 years, and over this time has become a fixture of the community with her award-winning camera work. Pretty Pictures’ primary service is portraiture. Vickie takes high-quality photos of families and children, both in her studio or a setting of the clients’ choosing. She also wields her lens at corporate and government events, as well as more personal gatherings such as weddings and baby showers.
Over the years, Vickie has received high praise for her scene setting skills, winning four consecutive Reader’s Choice for Best Photographer awards from The State Newspaper (2008-2011). She is a member of several professional associations such as the Professional Photographers of South Carolina and the Southeastern Professional Photographers of America. One very unique service that Pretty Pictures Photography offers that almost no one else does is the rental of her studio to other photographers. This gives other portrait artists a flexible setting for their work.
Vickie has been a board member of the Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce since 2010 and has contributed her talents to many of the organization's activities. “She does so much photography for the chamber, and gives us so much as a member,” John Banks, a leader of the Chamber, said during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “To have her put her studio in the same building as the chamber is an incredible asset.” Several other Chamber members recognized Vickie’s contributions during the ribbon cutting ceremony. Vickie had previously operated Pretty Pictures from her home in Cayce.
