Worship in the workplace?

West Columbia, SC (Keegan Gault) – Worship and workplace; typically, many companies seem to want to keep these words far separated, especially in a nation with so many religious views and lifestyles. Nowadays, it seems as if it’s almost taboo to mix work with your religion anymore. However, Grace Chapel Church in the Dixiana area of Lexington County is looking to change this.

The church is holding a unique opportunity they are calling a mini-retreat to meet and greet some of the most famous businessmen and women across the country. These business leaders have successfully mixed their religious beliefs into their professional lives for years. They include people like Joel Manby, President and CEO of SeaWorld; Anne Beiler, Founder of Auntie Anne's; Phil Vischer, Creator of VeggieTales; Wendy Davidson, President of US Speciality Channels / Kellog Company; Norm Miller, Chairman of Interstate Batteries; Matt Chandler, Pastor of The Village Church in Dallas, TX; and many more!

During this session or seminar, attendees can gain insight, get advice, or share ideas along with biblical teachings with others. The church is hoping that through efforts like this, people will begin incorporating more time for worship rather than your standard one or two hours every Sunday.

The event is February 23, 2018 at 663 Dixiana Road in West Columbia. Tickets are $25 and include snacks and lunch. You can register online at or call (972) 560-4000 for more information.
