Hope for Vets presents two monetary donations
Swansea, SC (Angelica Iglesias) - Christian Hall, the 16-year-old CEO of Hope for Vets, gave a speech at the Swansea High School Veterans Day Ceremony on November 8, 2017. Following his speech, he presented the South Carolina Patriot Guard Riders and American Legion Post 6 each with a $300 donation.
The SC Patriot Guard Riders plan to replace some worn American flags with their donation and Post 6 will send a deserving boy scout to Palmetto Boys State. The charity also mailed two more $300 checks to The Vietnam Veterans and the Gary Sinise Foundation. Hope for Vets raised an additional $250 on the day of the ceremony.
Hall is a cadet staff sergeant at Swansea High School. He got the idea for Hope for Vets when he participated in a community service event this summer that involved spending time with the veterans at Dorn V.A. Hospital in Columbia, as a part of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church’s youth group.
Hope for Vets accepts donations 365 days a year online and by mail. They present their donations quarterly. The charity’s website is at https://amahnken72.wixsite.com/hopeforvets/ how-you-can-help-1, and their Facebook page is at
