Lexington School District Four to operate on modified schedule today

Swansea, SC (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County School District Four has announced that they will operate on a modified schedule today in case we experience winter weather. Currently, we are experiencing cold, dry conditions, but haven't seen any precipitation begin to fall. That district is the most easterly one in Lexington County.

We have heard from a Lexington Ledger correspondent who is travelling north on I-95 out of Florida and he had been driving in a light rain from Jacksonville north. As he approached the Georgia / Florida state line, the temperature began to fall and he was seeing icing on the trees.

The statement of modification of their schedule from the Swansea and Gaston district is as follows:

Lexington Four will operate on a modified schedule today, Wednesday, January 3, 2018.

Early Dismissal Times:

Early Childhood Center 12:15 Sandhills Primary 12:30 Sandhills Elementary 12:30 Frances Mack Intermediate 1:55 Sandhills Middle 1:25 Freshman Academy 1:45

All after-school activities, which includes tutoring, daycare, clubs and athletics, are cancelled January 3, 2018.
