South Congaree, SC (Paul Kirby) - Chief Josh Shumpert of the South Congaree Police Department is asking if the public can identify the drivers of a vehicle that was used in a theft from a business in the town. Shumpert said that the two men who are in the vehicle are believed to have stolen catalytic converters from underneath cars that were parked at L.D. Walker Transmissions on Main Street.
Chief Shumpert said that on January 6, 2018 at approximately 6:00 p.m., the suspects, described as two Hispanic males with smaller builds, are believed to have cut the valuable devices from the exhaust systems of cars at Walker’s. Catalytic converters contain valuable precious metals that can be sold to scrap dealers.
If you know who these men are, you can call the South Congaree Police Department at (803) 755-2760 or Midland’s Crime Stoppers at 1-888 CRIME SC.
