Sheriff’s Department needs help locating men who stole lots of cigarettes from store

Irmo, SC (Paul Kirby) – Two men are wanted by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department after they pulled a fast one in a store and then made off with over $3,000 in cigarettes. Do these two men look familiar to you? They planned a fake fall, and then stole the cigarettes from the Circle K on Bush River Road back on January 15.

A man with gold teeth wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants and Crocs went into the beer cooler. A second man wearing a black sweatshirt over a red shirt and red and black sneakers then pretends to shop in the store. The man in the beer cooler deliberately spilled some liquid on the floor and then pretends to slip on it. He calls for the clerk’s help, giving the second man time to throw 60 cases of Newport cigarettes in a trash bag, and then make off with the smokes.

A spokesman for the sheriff’s department has asked the public to help catch these thieves before they strike again, or ruin their health with all those smokes! If you have any idea who they are, or have any information regarding this case that could help their investigators, please call Crimestoppers at 888-Crime-SC.
