Man randomly shot while checking on parked cars in home's yard near Sharpes Hill
Sharpes Hill, SC (Paul Kirby) - A man was shot in the arm about midnight Sunday night while standing in the front doorway of a home in the 400 block of Sems Road according to a spokesman for the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department. Sems Road is off Sharpes Hill Road and runs over to Mimosa Road northwest of Gaston.
According to Captain Adam Myrick, based on the information they’ve gathered so far, the man was checking on two vehicles parked in the road when the shooting occurred. The fire service and EMS responded, and he was transported to the hospital with an injury the sheriff’s office has been told is not life-threatening.
