County deputies take smoking bandit into custody
Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – One of the men who stole a significant number of cigarette cartons from several stores in Lexington County has been taken into custody. Last month, several convenience stores were hit and more than $3,000 worth of cigarettes were stolen by the pair.
According to Colby Gallagher with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Anthony Kinard Blakney has been charged with two counts of grand larceny and two counts of criminal conspiracy. The department was able to identify Blakney because of tips they received through Crimestoppers.
