Lexington County, SC - The Interstate 20 Eastbound off-ramp at Exit 58 to US 1 in Lexington County will be closed Friday night, March 9, for placing a barrier wall. Motorists heading east who wish to take Exit 58 to US 1 should use Exit 61 and re-enter I-20 westbound to Exit 58.
The Exit 58 eastbound off-ramp closure will occur: From 11 p.m. Friday, March 9, until 7 a.m. Saturday, March 10.
The I-20 Eastbound on-ramp at Exit 58 from US 1 in Lexington County will be closed Saturday night, March 10, for a placing barrier wall. Motorists who wish to access I-20 East bound should take the I-20 Westbound on-ramp and proceed to Exit 55A and then enter I-20 Eastbound.
Exit 58 eastbound on-ramp closure will occur: From 11 p.m. Saturday, March 10, until 7 a.m. Sunday, March 11.
Message board signs will display detour directions. Motorists are advised to used caution and plan accordingly in case of delays.
The road work is part of a four-phase project to widen an 11-mile stretch of I-20 in Lexington County. The project extends from mile marker 60 near US 378 to mile marker 49 at Longs Pond Road. Upon completion, the project will add a third inside lane in both directions aimed at reducing traffic congestion. It is expected to be completed in the fall of 2019.
