White Knoll softball team beats Fort Mill behind Lyon’s no-hitter
Lexington, SC - Andrea Lyon didn’t allow a single hit as the White Knoll High School Timberwolves defeated Fort Mill 10-0 on Wednesday. The Timberwolves got things moving in the first inning, when Hannah Goodwin singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Lyon took the win for White Knoll. She allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out 11. Ally Hall took the loss for Fort Mill. She allowed ten hits and ten runs over four and a third innings, striking out one.
The Timberwolves tallied two home runs on the day. Madison Miller had a dinger in the fourth inning. Goodwin went for the long ball in the fourth inning. They tallied nine hits on the day. Syvannah Workman, Miller, and Goodwin all collected multiple hits for White Knoll. Goodwin, Miller, and Workman each managed two hits to lead Timberwolves.
