Dialysis center is looking at further expansion in Red Bank area of Lexington County

Red Bank, SC (Paul Kirby) Davita Dialysis, a company that has a number of existing kidney dialysis facilities in Lexington County, including one in Gaston and a brand new one that has yet to open in South Congaree, has applied for and received zoning and landscape permits from Lexington County to build one in Red Bank. It will be located across from Lowes on the access road to Wal-Mart behind where Aldi is being constructed. According to Harrison Cahill, spokesman for Lexington County, those permits have been approved; however, they have not been issued. According to Cahill, Lexington County doesn’t currently have any building or land disturbance permits that have been issued for the construction.

The county says that the parcel was split via an over the counter plat, which does not require a formal submittal. Therefore, they do not have the exact date that plat was approved. There is no timeline yet for construction of the center.
