Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher identifies the suspect who was killed after armed standoff

Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has now released the identity of the man who was fatally shot by deputies on Tuesday, March 28, 2018 following a failed negotiation alongside Interstate 26 eastbound near exit 113. According to Fisher, Robert B. Shaw, 29, of West Columbia was pronounced dead at an area hospital as a result of injuries sustained when shots were fired by Lexington County Sheriff’s Department Deputies.
In accordance with standard procedure, the shooting incident is being investigated by SLED.
