Attorney and real estate agent running for Lexington Town Council

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) Lexington attorney and real estate agent Todd Lyle is running in the special election to be on Lexington Town Council. Lyle’s family moved to Lexington when he was the age of three and has since grown up here. His family moved here for his father, David Lyle, to become one of the first physicians at Lexington Family Practice, in its beginning stage.

Lyle attended Lexington public schools and he graduated from Lexington High School in 1999. He then graduated from The Citadel in 2003 with a degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering. After graduating from college, Lyle was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army National Guard and traveled to Fort Rucker, Alabama to attend Flight School where he became qualified in the OH-58 and AH-64 Apache helicopter.

After earning his wings, Lyle returned to Lexington and started a small business real estate company. With fifteen years in the reserves, Lyle currently holds the rank of Major and remains an Army aviation officer. After a year-long deployment to Iraq, in which Lyle earned the Bronze Star and an Air Medal, Lyle attended and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the USC School of Law.

Now, along with owning a small business real estate brokerage, Lyle also practices law at Reeves & Lyle, LLC, in Columbia, SC. Lyle and his wife, Kim, have been married since 2006 and have a nine-year-old daughter and five-year-old son. Lyle and his family are active at Radius Church in Lexington, SC. Lyle is also proud to serve the community as a board member of Mission Lexington (Formerly LICS).

If elected, Todd’s number one focus is to make sure that Lexington grows the right way. According to numerous studies, Lexington County will double over the next several decades, and the town will experience the vast majority of this growth. Based on this growth, the Town of Lexington is at a pivotal point in history. Lyle will work hard to ensure that the Town makes decisions that seek to promote healthy and sustainable growth, rather than cave to instant gratification. Todd’s leadership, military and business experience and his love for the community will help him make sure that the Town of Lexington will grow the right way.
