Popular Chapin coffee shop closes its doors for good

Chapin, SC (Connor Radtke) – The Wired Goat, a local fan favorite coffee shop, has closed its doors. The Wired Goat originally opened a few years ago in Chapin, SC right next to the high school. It started out well and gained a solid following quickly and this growth allowed The Wired Goat to move into a larger building on Chapin Rd. It also opened a brand-new branch in the Vista, in Columbia, SC.

According to a representative that owns the building where The Wired Goat was located, The Wired Goat is completely out of business and the owner is looking to re-lease the building to anyone interested. We tried to get in contact with the Vista location, but Google shows them closed as well.

The Wired Goat was a fantastic place to get coffee or homemade baked goods and will be missed by many of the area’s residents. According to its social media following, The Wired Goat had extremely positive reviews. Their Facebook account showed out of 263 total reviews, 235 were 5 stars. Overall, they have a rating of 4.8 stars. One review quotes, “if they close for good, I will be very sad.”
