Missing Lexington woman's body found, cause of death unclear

Pelion, SC (Paul Kirby) - A Lexington woman reported missing has been found dead. The sheriff's department had opened a case after she had been reported missing last Tuesday. Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual found deceased on June 1, 2018 in a wooded area off of Platt Springs Road as Ms. Kyrstin Star Blackburn, 20, of Lexington.

According to Coroner Fisher, an autopsy has been scheduled for June 2, 2018 to determine the cause of Ms. Blackburn’s death. An investigation by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is ongoing.
