Pizza delivery driver robbed in Lexington

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – A delivery driver was robbed in Lexington Friday night while delivering pizza in a neighborhood. According to Corporal Cameron Mortenson of the Lexington Police Department, at approximately 9:45 p.m. officers responded to the 100 block of Toula Lane, which is in the Woodcreek neighborhood off Augusta Road, for an armed robbery incident. When officers arrived, they met with a Pizza Hut delivery driver who stated that he was approached by a black male who got out of the passenger side of a small red vehicle being driven by a man. The male pointed a handgun at the driver and demanded his money and the pizza. The driver gave the subject a small amount of cash and the pizza. They then fled from the scene. Mortenson said that their investigation is ongoing in the case.
