Wreck on rural road near Fairview Saturday morning proves fatal, road closed during investigation

Fairview, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington County Coroner’s Office had personnel on the scene of a fatal accident on Lee Gunter Road near Merrrits Drive just after daybreak Saturday morning. First responders were called to the scene after an overturned truck was found across the roadway with someone still in it.

No further information is available and may not be for some time. The coroner’s staff and the SCHP will have to finish their investigations before the details of what happened will be released. The coroner also will notify and work with the family of the deceased before that individual’s name is released to the public.
