In 2009, he became principal of the 5K through Grade 8 Daniel Island School in Charleston and joined Jasper County School District as principal of Ridgeland Elementary in 2011. In 2015, he was promoted to executive director of early childhood, elementary and special projects and, in 2016, he joined Richland County School District One in his most recent position.
