Springdale PD makes charges in two armed robbery incidents

Springdale, SC - Investigators with the Springdale Police Department have officially charged an individual in connection with two armed robberies that took place on June 23rd and on June 26th at the Corner Pantry located at 3280 Platt Springs Rd.

Investigators have charged De’Avian Young with armed robbery, kidnapping, and conspiracy in both incidents. Young was arrested by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department for similar crimes committed in their jurisdiction.

“This Investigation has been a true example of Lexington County law enforcement agencies working together to bring a violent criminal to justice. Lexington County Sheriff's Department and the West Columbia Police Department provided significant assistance to our investigation.,” says Chief Kevin Cornett.
