West Columbia man dies after being injured in accident last week
West Columbia, SC (Paul Kirby) – A West Columbia man has passed away after being injured in an automobile accident earlier in July. According to a statement released by Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher, Charles David Younginer, 66, of West Columbia was pronounced dead at an area hospital on July 30, 2018 due to multiple traumatic injuries. Younginer, who was wearing a seat belt when the incident occurred, collided with two other vehicles causing himself grave injuroes. The vehicle collision, that occurred in the 2900 block of Augusta Road, was just before 10:00 a.m. on July 23, 2018. This is close to the intersection of Augusta and Methodist Park Roads.
According to Coroner Fisher, The condition of others involved is unknown. The collision was investigated by the West Columbia Police Department.
