Sheriff's Department in early stages of death investigation on Parker Street

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) - The Lexington County Sheriff's Department has detectives and crime scene technicians on Parker Street near Lexington in reference to a death investigation. The public has shown concern because of the heavy law enforcment presence in the Tall Pines subdivision.

According to Captain Adam Myrick, this investigation is in its very early stages. Myrick released a short statement just before 5:30 p.m. Friday, and in that he said, "We're in the early stages of a death investigation. We are not seeking any persons of interest or suspects in connection with this case." It doesn't appear as if there's any danger to the public or neighbors in regards to this incident.
